When you look at this art piece, I hope you can feel the tranquility and silence of a night in North Dakota which offers one rest from the hustle and bustle of urban life.

In the rugged badlands, among the cliffs and rolling plains, roam majestic big horn sheep used to this harsh landscape and climate. Though not usually aggressive, the up to 30 pounds of pure horns can defend themselves if needed. I sense the big-horned sheep represent the people of North Dakota very well.

To the drawing, I added silver sage that blankets the prairies with its distinctive silvery-green foliage. Its aromatic leaves release a subtle fragrance, enhancing the experience of those who wander through the badlands.
